Last Day for Boxes for Shepherd of the Hills Mission - As our departure nears, we want to praise God that more than 150 of Mt. Zion's members have sponsored a child in WV. Now is the time to bring all of the school supplies to the churchby this Wednesday in the box that was provided. The boxes are being collected in alphabetical order in the rear narthex of the Sanctuary.

Men’s Fellowship Breakfast - There will be no Men’s Fellowship Breakfast in July or August.  We will resume in September.

Events In the Next Few Days

20 Jul & 3 Aug, Operation Timothy Leader Training Workshop – Hopefully you have all heard of Operation Timothy by now.  It is one of the evangelism/discipleship ministries we are doing here at Mt. Zion.  Operation Timothy is a one on one Bible study where someone more knowledgeable about the Bible leads someone newer to the Word.  You don’t need to be an expert on the Bible to do this.  Mt. Zion will be holding a Leaders Training Workshop on 2 Tuesday evenings, Jul 20 and Aug 3, at 7:00 PM in Rooms 13-15 of the Education Building.  Both meetings are part of one class, not two separate classes, so you should plan to attend both.  If this sounds like something God is calling you to do, contact Bill Clark (410-877-3138) or Eric White (410-838-0074).

28 Jul, “Remembering the Life of Jesus in Keith Green” Web Event – We will begin with Praise and Worship at 7:00 PM in the Tent, then at 7:30 we’ll watch the web event celebrating the life and music of Keith Green.

1 Aug, Sunday Evening Service – Come and hear Heidi Benson, missionary and teacher at a Christian school in Japan.

4 Aug, Baptisms – On Wednesday, Aug 4, we will be celebrating baptisms at the home of Scott and Lorraine Holley.  All who have come to faith in Jesus Christ are invited to be baptized.  Please call the church office (410-836-7444) to let us know if you desire to be baptized that night.  We will meet at the Sanctuary parking lot at 7:00 PM and travel from  there to the Holley’s.  Please come and encourage all those being baptized in the name of the Lord.

7 Aug, Swim Night – The Fellowship Committee has organized another swim night at the Fountain Green Swim Club, 1008 S. Fountain Green Rd. (Rt 543), Bel Air.  It will be held Saturday, August 7, 5-10 PM.  The cost is $5 per person, with children under 3 free.  Hot dogs will be provided.  Please bring a snack, side dish or dessert to share, as well as your swimsuit, towel & lawn chair.  Registration required.  Call the church office by August 3.  (410) 836-7444.

8 Aug, Sunday Evening Service – Come and hear Matt Bohlman, Director of an orphanage in Cambodia.

9 & 10 Oct  Mt. Zion Community Groups begin again.  We’ll begin a 5 week Sermon Series and church-wide Bible Study called Living on the Edge, Dare to Experience True Spirituality.  Join everyone else for a study of Romans 12, that “reveals to us a relational profile of what it means to be a disciple, as well as a proven pathway to becoming more like Jesus each day.”  You can ask to be placed into a group, or your existing group can do the study.  Books will cost $11.60.  For more information see the flyer that will be in the bulletin.

Employment Needs in the Mt. Zion Family – At the very bottom of the newsletter is a list of brothers and sisters who are looking for employment.  Please check the list to see if you can help.  If you want to be added to the list, contact the church office.
