Beyond Capernaum is a ministry to the special needs adult community in Harford, Cecil, Baltimore, and surrounding counties; as well as Delaware and Pennsylvania. Approximately 700 individuals with a variety of needs and functioning levels are served through four weekly events. The mission is to provide a safe environment where those with special needs feel included, welcomed, and valued. Skill level appropriate activities foster social interaction, physical movement, and basic educational skill development. Interaction with peers and volunteers support community inclusion and self-confidence. At weekly programs, special needs adults experience various activities and learn the importance of community involvement by preparing care packages for nursing homes, homeless shelters, and others in need.
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30-11:30am – physical activities (dance, basketball), bingo, crafts and socialization
1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month, 5:30-7:30pm – Pizza with Jesus, games, socialization, karaoke
Sundays, 11am – Multisensory worship service
4th Fridays, 5:30-7:30pm – Dance Party
