Teach Me How To Pray
Teach Me How To Pray was written in 2007 by myself, Steve Presser. The song makes references to Luke 11 where the disciples ask Jesus to "teach them" how to pray. Often our most honest prayers come in times of desperation and frustration. This song was a product of wondering in that wilderness. Keep praying everyone. Prayer doesn't necessarily change things, but it will definitely change you. Special thanks to Brian Cox who helped arrange the structure of this song with me and to both he and Bobby Dixon ( who has also recorded this song with permission) for laying the guitar and helping to record this.
Road of Sorrows
This song was written in response to a sermon series my church was in called "Portraits of the Passion". The idea behind the song is to think of a man pondering a framed photo of Christ as he walks the streets of Jerusalem struggling to carry his cross. I hope this song inspires you. Written and performed by myself, Steven Presser, 2015.
Coming to You
I wrote this song to express the the hope and joy experienced in the ancient days of the shepherds and wise men. Naturally, I realized that our journey 2000 years later is still very much the same. We come to see the Lord, bow at His feet, lay ourselves down, and find peace in his coming; whether it be the first or the last.
